Brooklyn

Just time for a quick post, I am lacking sleep from being up all night with Brooklyn, but I wanted to post these. I have a very close friend, and fellow photographer, Amber Raeder, who offered to take some amazing photos of my precious new little one. I am so grateful to her for taking the time to do this for me, as I wanted to capture her 'newborn' days before they were gone. They grow so fast, and if you dont get the photos within the first week or so, they have already changed in looks. I didnt have the energy to pose a newborn and think up creative photo opts. Most of these photos were taken at just 2 days old, while others were taken at 9 days old. I love them all and cant choose a favorite. Baby Brooklyn is here!

After all the waiting, she is finally here. My baby girl, Brooklyn.

I was admitted yesterday at 6pm and they inserted Cervidil at 7pm. Took Cervidil out at 6:30am this morning. Cervix was VERY soft but still not dialated at all. Started Pictocin at 8am. Bounced on the birthing ball for about 45 min, felt totally fine, expected to be sent home this afternoon. Was complete 10cm and ready to push by 12:30pm Baby Brooklyn was born at 1:10pm.

She was face up so it was very painful! not like my other girls who were face down. She has some purple brusing on here forehead from being turned this way, but its expected to be gone by tomorrow.

I ofcourse brought my camera and took photos, but I didnt bring my cord to download them onto my laptop. So for now, the update is all you get. Ill post photos later :)

Time for a Change

As I am now well into my 2nd year since I started Sonya Byer Photography, I thought a major change to my website was desperately needed. What I started out with was nice, simple, and straight to the point. But there were no bells and whistles, no frills, and no glam. I felt that I needed something new to show off my work. So this past week I have been redesigning the new sonyabyerphotography.com and I am finally finished. I'll most likely make some minor changes to it here and there, but for now, I am live and happy as can be with it!
